The Bodyshop
Size
The 12500 sq ft Body Shop with over 30 bays is one of the largest in the area and can carry out over 60 jobs per week. It has a secure compound with 24hr cctv surveillance.
Equipment
It has 3 low bake ovens one of which is a high top for the repair of commercial vehicles. Chassis repair can be carried out on one of the 3 Blackhawk jigs and alignment is checked with the state of the art 'Shark' measuring system. With the introduction of different steels and alloys in car design the correct welding equipment is crucial and for this reason St. Georges have invested in the latest 'inverta' spot welders and mig brazing machines.
Management System
The whole repair process is managed by a sophisticated computer system which can give instant updates and even send out automated text messages to let you know when your vehicle enters a certain stage of repair.
Training
St. Georges Garage are very committed to the training and development of their people, they all have a continual training programme to keep them at the forefront of repair methods, whether this is with VW, Thatcham or one of the local colleges you can be confident that your car is in the right 'hands'.
Duty of Care
St. Georges Garage have a very 'eco-friendly' waste management system. All cardboard, plastics, metals, excess paint and thinners are all recycled. A Health and Safety consultant looks after the well being of all Staff and makes sure all current legislation such as COSHH is being adhered to.
